For Kyle ...and the JDRF

Kyle is my youngest son. He just turned fourteen. On February 14th, 2005, Kyle was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, which means he  tests his blood a minimum of six times a day and take six insulin injections. That's a total of 4,380 body punctures a year. He says, "I’ve gotten used to it but I don’t really like it. I wish there was a cure. That’s why I’m collecting donations for the Walk to Cure Diabetes ."

We're very proud of him. Last walk, he raised $5,269.21 by knocking on doors and cold calling. Pretty amazing. The walk is held every year, usually the first weekend in June.

This year Kyle would like to raise $10,000.  I'm helping by donating 100% of sales of the pieces below to the JDRF. You'll receipt a tax deductible receipt for the 2008 year. These pieces were made in a workshop with Liz Berg in September 2007. They look fabulous framed with a black mat.

All sales are final. Sizes are approximate. Colors may differ slightly from what you see on your screen. Please email me first to make sure the piece you'd like is still available.  If you'd like to support Kyle by making an online donation once the JDRF site is up in early 2008, please let me know and I'll send you a reminder email.
